Cead Mile Failte* To Our Blog!

My name is Louise Mc Guane and I am the Founder of The Chapel Gate Irish Whiskey Company based on our family farm on the beautiful West Coast of Ireland in County Clare. I emigrated from Ireland over 20 years ago and built a global career with multinational drinks corporations all over the world. My career took me from New York to Paris onto London and Singapore and I was lucky enough to learn from some of the best in the industry. The hard truth is though, that the further up the corporate ladder you climb the less you appreciate the view.  I made the decision 2 years ago to walk away from a global corporate career, return to Ireland put my skills to use working for myself in the resurgent Irish Whiskey Industry. I’m working alone to get this business off the ground, so I’ve started this blog to document this exciting journey and also, if I’m really honest as a bit of start-up therapy. Follow along, I promise to be nothing if not honest!

Slainte!

Louise

  1. Hi Louise,
Congratulations! Always knew you were destined for stardom as an independent operator. Will follow your progress with great interest, and am sure your hard work is meeting with stellar success.
With love and laughter, remembering the crazy Clicquot days!
    Best regards,

  2. Look forward to trying your whiskey! You mentioned in a recent video it will be coming into Massachusetts. Is that definite and when do you think it will be available?
